Psychiatric Technician Program

Psychiatric Technicians (PTs) provide care for mentally disordered or developmentally disabled clients under the supervision of director of the services. The director may be a physician, psychologist, rehabilitation therapist, social worker registered nurse or other professional personnel. The PT utilizes scientific and technical expertise and manual skills to provide care and training for clients with mental disorders and developmental disabilities.

Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program

The DMS program prepares graduates for entry-level employment as an Ultrasonographer with specialization in general sonography (Abdominal & Small Parts, Obstetrics and Gynecology and Vascular ultrasound). Working in hospitals imaging centers, physicians′ offices or clinics, the Ultrasonographer plays a very important role in medical diagnosis and treatment team.

The Radiologic Technology Program is a 2 years certificate program designed to provide excellence in radiologic education. The student will receive didactic, laboratory and clinical education in affiliated healthcare facilities. Classes are kept to a minimum number of students to provide individual instruction, thereby producing highly skilled and marketable technologists.

Phlebotomy Technician Program

This program is designed for people who plan to work for a clinical laboratory, public health department, private clinic or hospital. The course combines 40-hours classroom instruction with a 40-hours off-site clinical internship to provide students with a comprehensive learning experience. Lectures include but are not limited to Anatomy and Medical Terminology pertaining to the circulatory system, specimen collection, risk factors, complications and quality assurance in specimen collection.

A Medical Assistant performs duties under the direction of a doctor in private or group practices, clinics, and other medical facilities. The Medical Assistant may interview patients; take chart histories, vital signs; administer injections; assist during exams, minor surgeries, etc.
