Prerequisites for LVN Program at Concord Campus will start on July 7th, 2008.

Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts, Concord campus is pleased to announce that we have successfully obtained the approval from CDPH-RHB (California Department of Public Health, Radiologic Health Branch) for Radiologic Technology program.

San Mateo Campus: Enrollment for our MRI Program is currently opened for the following dates: Prerequisite classes start on July 7th, 2008. The core MRI program is going to start on September 29th, 2008.

Concord Campus: Enrollment is now opened for the prerequisite program starting on January 7th, 2008 with the core program to start on April 7th, 2008
San Mateo Campus: Enrollment is now open for the prerequisite program starting on May 19th, 2008 with the core program to start on July 7th, 2008

Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts is pleased to announce start of enrollment for our new program – “Psychiatric Technician”. This program has been in development for some time and finally it received its approval from Board of Vocational Nurses and Psychiatric Technicians. We are currently accepting applicants for program starting on March 10th, 2008.

Licensed Vocational Nursing Program start dates
San Mateo Campus: Enrollment is now open for the prerequisite program starting on November 5th, 2007 with the core program to start on February 18th, 2008
Concord Campus: Enrollment will be opened on October 1st, 2007 for the prerequisite program starting on January 7th, 2008 with the core program to start on April 7th, 2008

LVN Program Enrollment is now open for San Mateo campus. Concord campus LVN Program enrollment will start on February 21st, 2007. Please check academic calendar session for details.

CPR certification and training is available for the current students and local community in San Mateo Campus. CPR training is provided through Red Cross. The training is conducted on Saturdays only. The cost of the training is $55.00.

We would like to announce that our Medical Assistant Program at our Concord Campus will be starting shortly - November 5th! We are planning to have only 10 students in the class. The program will be intense and fast so you can graduate early and Get it going faster!!!

Since the LVN Enrollment has officially ended for our prerequisites course we have shifted our gear to the next program that will start in August 21. Yes - the next program on our list is PHLEBOTOMY!!!

Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts is going to be closed for 2 weeks due to the school′s summer vacation. The dates of summer vacation are: June 18th to July 4th.

Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts is now eligible to issue I-20 for foreign students who want to study in the following programs: Vocational Nursing program, Diagnostic Medical Sonography program, MRI Technology program.

Its been already a month since we have opened our new branch in Concord. Here are some statistics regarding the program registration and popularity that we have noticed:

LVN - The program is almost full, only a few spots left!

Medical Assistant/Phlebotomy - That was new to us, but many students were interested in combining the both programs. Naturally taking the Medical Assistant/Phlebotomy program is a good way to start your career. By graduating the program students will be one step closer to becoming professionals in Healthcare field. Students will have a certificate of completion as Medical Assistant; number of hours interning at hospital and will also be licensed Phlebotomists. And this can be achieved in about 9 months.
