CEU Programs

This program is designed for people who plan to work for a clinical laboratory, public health department, private clinic or hospital. The course combines 40-hours classroom instruction with a 40-hours off-site clinical internship to provide students with a comprehensive learning experience. Lectures include but are not limited to Anatomy and Medical Terminology pertaining to the circulatory system, specimen collection, risk factors, complications and quality assurance in specimen collection.

The American Heart Association designed the BLS course to prepare a wide variety of healthcare professionals to recognize several life-threatening emergencies and to provide CPR, use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and relieve choking in a safe, timely, and effective manner.

The course includes adult, child, and infant rescue skills in both the out-of-hospital and in-hospital setting.
